Library orientation: General library orientation for all students of degree college and junior college as well as special library orientation programme for Post graduate and Professional Courses Students is conducted. Orientation to newly appointed staff members is done at the time of giving library membership.
Book Issuing Facility (Home lending)
Staff members can borrow any number of Textbooks/ Reference Books for the duration of one term.
Students issue reference and textbooks against barcoded library cards for maximum of 5 days or as per the requirement of time. They can reserve books, which are already issued. Book can be renewed if they want to use it further, only after producing it at the library counter and if there is no reservation against it. Journals and magazines are issued against Identity card during library working hours.
Timing of issuing / returning books: (For Students)
9.45 am to 4.00 pm
(Break: 1.30 pm to 3pm)
Fine for late return: Rs. 1 per day per book
Current Reading Facility for reference books, question papers and other library material is provided against identity cards during library working hours.
Usernames and passwords are generated for staff members and students to access n-list and other online resources
Reading room Facility is provided against producing Identity cards.
Book Bank Facility
Book Bank Facility is for academically bright and financially needy students. A set of textbooks is provided to students for one academic year against a refundable deposit of Rs. 200/-. Average number of students benefitted per year is 300, approximately 2000 textbooks are distributed amongst them every year. To identify needy students, an application form is filled up by students with necessary details. Teachers also help in identifying students to whom this facility can be given. Textbooks given are as prescribed by HSC Board for Junior college and SNDT Women’s University for Degree College. All necessary communication to avail this facility is put on notice boards and even circulated in classrooms. Students who wish to avail this facility may contact at the library counter during working hours.

Current Awareness Services (Thematic displays are put up based on various occasions, topics relevant as per the syllabus, and on important current news/events etc.)
New arrivals, latest issues of journals and periodicals, newspapers are also regularly displayed.

Annual Library Programmes:
We celebrate annual library programme with the intention to cultivate reading habits among students and attract them toward library. Exhibitions are arranged on different topics. Different competitions like debate, elocution, poster painting, poetry recitation, prose reading etc. are held. Talks by guest speakers and senior lecturers are arranged.
