ANO – Smt. Jyoti Madhye
Our NCC unit is part of 5 Maharashtra Girls Battalion and can enroll 52 cadets every year. We have a trained ANO who looks after NCC activities. Other than weekly parade and camps, cadets are engaged in many other community activities. The college encourages students to participate in N.C.C. activities as it helps them to develop strength, tenacity, responsibility and courage. Students from Junior and Senior Colleges are eligible for enrolment. Interested students should be physically fit and have a minimum height of 5’.5”.Our NCC Unit received the Vice- Chancellor’s Banner in the years 2011-2012, 2013-2014, 2015-2016 and 2017-2018.


ANO Jyoti Madye was promoted from Captain Rank to Major Rank.

NCC cadets participated in following events:

  • ‘Maharashtra Day Celebration’ on May 1, 2023.
  • Poster making and essay writing competition on the occasion of Environment Day celebration, on June 2, 2023 conducted by our college.
  • Rally to spread the message of ‘Save Environment’ on the occasion of World Environment Day, on June 5, 2023.
  • Beach Cleaning activity at Dadar Chowpatty on June 9, 2023. Around 200 kg of Garbage was collected and handed over to MCGM.
  • ‘Tree Plantation’ at Railway Police Quarter Ground, Ghatkopar under The Guidance of ANO Capt. Jyoti Madye on August 12 ,2023 and at Kasara Ghat – A joint venture by NCC and NSS units on August 14 ,2023.
  • ‘Walkathon’ organized by our College on the occasion of ‘National Sports Day’ and Celebration of Centenary year of ‘SPRJ Kanyashala Trust’ on August 29 , 2023.
  • ‘Puneet Sagar Abhiyan’ at Chaityabhumi, Dadar Chawpatty, on September 6, 2023.
  • ‘Swaccha Bharat Abhiyaan Rally’ organized by Mumbai Mahanagar Palika on October 1 and 2, 2023
  • Rally on ‘International Day of The Girls Child’ at Ghatkopar on October 11, 2023
  • Pledge Taking Event for ‘Say No to Drugs’ conducted by Nandanvan Acharya Mahasharman at Mira Road East on November 4, 2023.
  • Blood Donation Camp at Kirti College on November 28, 2023. CQMS Priyanka Singh gave her contribution By Donating Blood.
  • Seminar on ‘Say No to Drugs’ conducted By Anuvrat Vishwa Bharti Society at SNDT Women’s University on December 11, 2023. The Chief Guest was Major General Yogendra Singh ADG of Maharashtra and The Special Guest was Dr. Ujwala Chakradeo, Vice Chancellor of SNDT Women’s University.
  • Rally during ‘Marathi Sahitya Sammelan’ on December 16, 2023. Cadets performed Lazim during the rally.
  • Rally on ‘National Voters Day’ on January 25, 2024.
  • Cadets worked as volunteers for Tapatsav event organized by Brahma Kumaris held at Ghatkopar on January 28, 2024.
  • Rally on the occasion of completion of 100 years of SPRJ Kanyashala Trust on February 3, 2024.
  • Convocation programme at SNDT Women’s University, Churchgate on February 17, 2024. The Chief guest for the program was Governor of Maharashtra Mr. Ramesh Bais

NCC unit celebrated following events:

  • ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ on July 26, 2023. Principal Dr. Asha Menon addressed the students.
  • ‘Independence Day’ on August 15, 2023. The Chief Guest ‘Ms. Shweta Parulekar’ - Artist, Director of Documentary films, Actor, Social Worker hoisted our national flag. Trustees, Principal Teaching staff, School Principals and School children also participated. The flag hoisting was followed by a cultural programme.
  • NCC Day on November 27, 2023 at college premises.
  • ‘Republic Day’ Parade on January 26, 2024 alongwith NSS volunteers, School Children, Trustee, Principal and all the staff members of School.
  • ‘NCC Annual Day’ in the college auditorium on April 10, 2024. The Chief Guest for the event was Mrs. Harvinder Kaur Waraich, Rtd. DCP and the Guest of Honour was Mr. Amarjeet Singh Waraich,Rtd. Army Officer. Cadets got medals and awards for their contributions. A small cultural program was organized by cadets.
  • Birth anniversary of Savitri Bai Phule on January 3, 2024 in our college.

NCC cadets attended following camps:

  • Sgt. Krutika Birje attended ‘Intergroup Mavlankar shooting camp’ at Pune HQ from May 1 to 10, 2023.
  • CQMS Sneha Yadav attended ‘All India Trek Expedition 2023-24’ conducted by NCC Directorate Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Andaman and Nicobar from May 6 to 13, 2023.
  • Cadets participated in ‘CATC-402 Camp at ACES High School’, Tarapur organized by 5 Mah Girls BN Cadets from May 22 to 31, 2023 and from June 5 to 14, 2023. They also participated in ‘Punnet Sagar Abhiyan’ at Chinchani Beach- Tarapur.
  • Cadets Attended ‘CATC-407 Camp’ at ‘Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technology University’- Raigad organized by 6 Maharashtra BN from September 8 to 16, 2023.
  • CSM Vaishnavi Sawant and SGT Sanika Ghonge attended Hospital attachment Camp at ‘College of Nursing INHS ASVINI’, Colaba, from September 11 to 23, 2023.
  • JUO Pratibha Mishra attended CATC-409 (Pre- IGC) Camp at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technology University, Raigad organized by 6 Maharashtra BN on September 8 , 2023. She also attended RDC (IGC) at Pune organized by Pune Group from October 13 to 17, 2023.
  • Cadets attended Combine Annual Training Camp-405, held at SDSM College, Palghar from December 22 to 31, 2023

Other Activities:

  • JUO Ms. Pratibha Mishra got ‘Best Cadet Award’, ‘Best Senior College Volunteer Award’ was achieved by CQMS Ms. Priyanka Singh and Best Junior College Volunteer Award was Achieved by Cadet Tanushri Begde. The awards were given to the cadets on December 23, 2023 on the occasion of college annual day.
  • Cadets appeared for B Certificate Exam at MMP Shah College, Matunga on February 10 and 11 2024, and for C Certificate examination at M.D.Shah Mahila College, Malad on March 3, 2024.
