ANO – Smt. Jyoti Madhye
Our NCC unit is part of 5 Maharashtra Girls Battalion and can enroll 52 cadets every year. We have a trained ANO who looks after NCC activities. Other than weekly parade and camps, cadets are engaged in many other community activities. The college encourages students to participate in N.C.C. activities as it helps them to develop strength, tenacity, responsibility and courage. Students from Junior and Senior Colleges are eligible for enrolment. Interested students should be physically fit and have a minimum height of 5’.5”.Our NCC Unit received the Vice- Chancellor’s Banner in the years 2011-2012, 2013-2014, 2015-2016 and 2017-2018.

Cadets participated in following activities organized by college:

• WORLD YOGA DAY’’ Organized by NCC and NSS Unit on 11th JUNE 2021.
• Online ‘’International Yoga Day ‘’ celebration on 21stJune 2021. Cadets did exercises at their home.
• Poster Making Competition under Bharat ka Amrut Mahaotsav organised by NSS and IQAC on 14th July 2021
• Online ‘’Kargil Vijay Diwas” Celebration on 26th JULY 2021. Maj. Gen. Shishir Mahajan (Retd) was invited as guest for the event.
• ‘Historical Statue Cleaning’ activity at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Garden, in collaboration with N ward, chembur on 13th August 2021
• ‘Independence Day’ Programme on 15th August 2021 in the college premises.
• “Intercollegiate Quiz to commemorate the international day of Non – Violence ( Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti ) ‘’ on 2nd OCTOBER 2021, organized by IQAC, NSS, NCC and Rotaract club.
• Covid -19 Vaccination Drive organised by IQAC, NSS, NCC and Student’s Council on 27th October 2021 and on 22nd January 22, 2022
• Beach Cleaning activity under Puneet Sagar Abhiyan in collaboration with MCGM Dadar at Chaitybhoomi, Dadar Chowpatty on 11th December 2021. Cadets collected 12 Kg Garbage and spread the awareness message about cleanliness.
• Cadets gave tribute to CDS General Bipin Rawat on 11th December 2021 in college premises
• Online Webinar on National Voter’s Day organized by IQAC, NSS, and NCC unit on January 25, 2022.
• Cadets attended Republic Day Parade on January 26, 2022. Trustee, Principal, School Principals, teaching and non teaching of school and college attended the programme.
• Celebrated International Women's Day on 8th March, 2022. The guest for the day was Naval Retd. Commander Prabha Lal .
• 40 cadets successfully completed Trekking at Karnala fort on 16th and 17th April, 2022 under the guidance of ANO Capt. Jyoti Madye and Teacher Mrs Harshawardhin Pota.
• Cadets were participated in Maharashtra Day celebration on 1st May 2022

7 Cadets attended “Recycle Ray – a National level wealth out of waste” competition on ‘’World Environment Day’’ organised by WCC College, NCC Department on 5th JUNE 2021.

32 Cadets participated online Tree Plantation programme on the occasion of World Environment Day on 5th JUNE 2021. Cadets planted the trees in nearby area and Garden.

20 Cadets attended online ‘’International Yoga Day ‘’ which was organized by Shri M. D. Shah Mahila college, Malad on 21stJune 2021.

11 Cadets attended ‘’COVID Ouiz-2021 Competition’’ organised by Gurunanak Khalsa College,Yamuna Nagar under 14th Haryana Battalion, Yamuna Nagar on 24th JUNE 2021,.

10 cadets participated in welcome ceremony of ‘Swarnim Vijay Mashal ‘ at SNDT Women’s University at Churchgate campus on 6th September 2021.

10 Cadets participated in Inter Directorate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav design competition on 15th September 2021. Cadets made drawings and wrote articles in Digital Forum organized by Maharashtra Directorate.

14 cadets participated in Swachchata Abhiyan activity, cadets cleaned roads and garden in nearby area on 2nd October 2021,. Second year and Third year cadets attended CATC Camp at D.G.Ruparell College, Matunga from October 21 to 25, 2021 and October 25 to 31, 2021 respectively.

8 cadets participated in Ganga Utsav event, cadets uploaded Poster Painting, Drawing and Articles in Digital Media on 1st November 2021,.

20 cadets attended online National webinar on Awareness of Plastic Hazzards and its Recycling, organized by NCC unit of Kirti College on 24th November 2021,.

4 Cadets participated in Intercollegiate virtual Poster Making Competition organized by JVM’s Junior college, the theme was Atmanirbhar Bharat on 20th December 2021,.

2 cadets participated in Puneet Sagar event at Versova Beach organized by 5 Mah. Girls Bn.NCC on 29th December 2021

3 cadets participated in Quiz competition, the theme was Republic Day organized by Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Yamunanagar, Haryana on January 21, 2022

22 cadets appeared for ‘B’ Cert exam at S.N.D.T. Women’s University Churchgate organized by 5 Mah Girls Bn,NCC on February 12 & 13, 2022

12 cadets appeared for ‘C’ Cert exam at Shri. M.D.Shah Mahila College, Malad organized by 5 Mah Girls Bn,NCC on February 27 & 28, 2022

Firing was conducted for selection of Mah.Directorate Shooting competition organised by NCC Battalion on 28th April 2022. Cadet Sahida Patel was selected for the competition.

20 Cadets participated in Annual training Camp at Bharatiya Sainiki Vidyalaya, Khadavli Organized by 5 Mah.Girls BN from May 21 to 31, 2022. Cadets participated in various competitions like group dance, singing and solo dance. Our college won 2nd Prize in Group Song.

9 cadets participated in a tree plantation near their living area and garden. They also participated in poster making on the occasion of 50th World Environment Day’ on June 05, 2022.

7 cadets attended ‘Annual Training Camp at Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil College, Vashi organized by 3 rd Maharashtra Battalion from June 05 to 14, 2022.

54 cadets along with NCC Alumni celebrated 9th International Yoga Day Organized by NCC and Sports Committee onJune 21, 2022.

30 cadets Along with ANO took pledge on the topic ‘SAY YES TO LIFE NO TO DRUGS on June 26, 2022.

10 cadets participated in ‘Tree Plantation Activity at Railway Police Garden Ground Ghatkopar East. The Cadets were felicitated for their best performance on July 09, 2022.

20 cadets along with ANO participated in ‘Tree Plantation and Trekking’ at Kasara. 50 saplings of Mango, Tamarind and Kaju were planted on July 12, 2022.

40 NSS volunteers and 30 NCC cadets participated in ‘Self Defence Session’ at our college on July 20, 2022.

5 cadets attended CATC camp at Sathaye College, Vile Parle conducted by 3 rd Maharashtra Battalion, NCC from July 25 to August 03, 2022.

53 NCC cadets of our college participated in ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan Rally’. The rally from Chembur to Ghatkopar East was organized by BMC-‘M’ Chembur, with the help of Assistant Commissioner Mr. Vishwash Mote, BMC Staff Sub Engineer Ganesh Chandolkar and securities of BMC-'MWard and Police force. Cadets spread the awareness message among the people about Har Ghar Tiranga. After the rally a small Tiranga was distributed to the cadets and they were appreciated for their great work by the Police MCGM-'MWard. The rally was held on 06 Aug 2022.

53 NCC Cadets and nearby 200 students with Principal Dr. Asha Menon, Vice Principal and some Police officers were present on the occasion of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”. The police team from Ghatkopar Police Station visited our college. They gave an awareness speech about ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’, an alertness lecture on terrorist attack, bomb squad, a demonstration about rifles and dog show. All the NCC Cadets participated in various activities on the occasion of ‘Azadi KaAmritMahotsav’ organized by NCC Department. The activities were -Flag making, ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Rally’, Rangoli, College Cleanliness Drive, Flag Hosting, Cultural Program, and Poster Making. The activities were organized betweenAugust 08 and 17, 2022.

10 Cadets participated in ‘Puneet Sagar Abhiyaan’ at Dadar ChowpattyonAugust 12,2022.

All NCC Cadets Along with Ex-Cadetscelebrated ‘75 th Independence Day’ in the presence of trustees, Principal and the entire college staff. We welcomed Chief Guest Shri. Purvesh Shelatkar with support of NSS team, on August 15, 2022.

3 Cadets attended CATC camp at ‘Tungareshwar Phata Vasai’ organized by 6 th Maharashtra Battalion and 8 th Maharashtra Battalion,from September 12 to 19, 2022.

‘CPL Sadiya Bano’ attended CATC-407 held at ‘Nallasopara Kiran Patil Degree College’. The camp was organized by 6 th Maharashtra Battalion from September 23 to 30, 2022.

‘CQMS Sneha Yadav’ attended EBSB Odisha Camp held at ‘Sai Valley World School’ organized by 9 th Odisha Battalion from October 3 to 12, 2022.

JUO Jyoti Goswami SGT Krutika Birje along with ANO Capt. Jyoti Madye attended a camp at Odisha, Bhuvaneshwar oganized by 5 th MAH GIRLS BN from October 10 to 19, 2022.

SGT. Nuzhat Shaikh Attended EBSB Aurangabad Camp from October 15 to 24, 2022.

21 cadets celebrated ‘National Unity Day’. A marathon was organized from our college gate to Ghatkopar East area on October 31, 2022.

14 Cadets attended ‘Sea Vigil’ from Mumbai Yellow Gate Police Station to Bhaucha Dhakka. Cadets did Patrolling under guidance of Mumbai Police Sarla Vasave on November 15, 2022.

30 Cadets took a pledge on the occasion of ‘PUNNET SANKALP’ on November 15, 2022.

34 Cadets took pledge with ‘CENTRAL VIGILANCE COMMISSION’ on November 24, 2022.

12 cadets attended ‘Blood Donation Camp’ at Kirti College with Ex-cadets SGT. Krutika Birje and CPL Priyanka Singh.This was organized by 5 MAH Girls BN on November 26, 2022.

42 Cadets celebrated NCC DAY at our college with NCC pledge, Peace rally and Cultural program on November 27, 2022.
