Early Childhood Matters:
Early Childhood Matters is the annual journal of the Bernard van Leer Foundation. It has been published and distributed free of charge since 1998 and now available online. Early Childhood Matters aims to reflect the interests and priorities of the broad community of advocates, policymakers, academics and practitioners whose work relates to the field of early childhood. These naturally evolve as contexts change and new research points towards new ways to support young children and their caregivers. The below graphics illustrate the main themes addressed in Early Childhood Matters articles over the years.

Young Children:
An award-winning, peer-reviewed journal that combines research and practice, Young Children supports educational excellence and focuses on meeting the needs of all children, birth through third grade. Some of the articles are openly accessible.

National Early Childhood Care and Education (Ecce) Curriculum Framework:
The Government of India approved the National Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Policy in 2013. The Policy framework also includes the National ECCE Curriculum Framework and Quality Standards for ECCE.

Journal of Early Childhood Research:
The Journal of Early Childhood Research provides an international forum for the dissemination of early childhood research which transcends disciplinary boundaries and applies theory and research within academic and professional communities. The journal reflects international growth in research on young children’s learning and development and the impact of this on provision. Article abstracts are freely available, and access to their full texts (in PDF and, for newer publications, also HTML) generally requires a subscription or pay-per-view purchase unless the content is freely available in open access.

Child Care & Early Education Research Connections:

Journal of Montessori Research:
The Journal is a publication of the American Montessori Society (AMS) launched in the fall of 2015. It is published twice each year with one issue in the fall and one in the spring. The Journal is an online publication that advances knowledge of Montessori education through empirical research studies, critical reviews of the literature, theoretical essays, and scholarly book reviews available in an open access forum.

Childhood:
Childhood is a major international peer reviewed journal and a forum for research relating to children in global society that spans divisions between geographical regions, disciplines, and social and cultural contexts. Childhood publishes theoretical and empirical articles, reviews and scholarly comments on children's social relations and culture, with an emphasis on their rights and generational position in society. Childhood is published in association with the Department of Education and Lifelong Learning at Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Some of the articles are openly accessible.
