Students’ Association
At the end of each academic year, student representatives are democratically elected to represent the student body. Elections are held after vigorous campaigning for the posts of Class Representatives ( CR ) and General Secretaries ( GS ) of various faculties.
The student body coordinates with the President and Vice President, who are represented by the Teaching Faculty, in the smooth functioning of various activities organized by the college throughout the year and also of maintaining discipline and cleanliness in the campus.
Activities Conducted:
- Junior college students’ council along with Cultural committee, held workshop ‘Let’s Change Time’ on July 21 2023. This workshop was organized by N ward under the guidance of CRC Mrs. Suvarna Sawant, Presided by Mrs. Urmila Pardhi, Education inspector Brihanmumbai North Zone, Mumbai. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Rohit Arya, Mr. Rajendra Bansode and Mr. Sunil Gajakosh. It was cleanliness awareness campaign in which students and teachers from North Zone participated in huge strength.
- ‘Friendship day’ was celebrated by the Students in their respective classrooms on August 7, 2023.
- ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ workshop was successfully carried out by students’ council along with Cultural committee and NSS volunteers in Biology laboratory. Around 25 students prepared all the articles with help of soil. ( Mitti )
- ‘General Secretary Elections’ were conducted for standards XI and XII on September 16, 2023 and 9 General Secretaries were elected.
- Best student of junior college competition was held on December 9, 2023. 38 students took part in this. Winners of this competition were: Best Student -Ms.Soniya Sabat from XI B, Best student Runner up-Ms. Yashvi Mota from XI B, Best student consolation-Ms.Zainab shaikh XI D, All Rounder-Ms. Disha Dadi XI J and All Rounder Consolation -Ms. Shivani Sahu XII D.
- Farewell function for Std XII of Arts, science and Commerce was organized on January 29, 2024 with orchestra and snacks refreshments.
- Guidance session on NEP was organised for SYJC Students by Dr. Madhuri Vaidya and Mrs. Amita Kendulkar.
