GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • Students must wear their Identity Card in the college premises. Students caught without their I-cards will be fined Rs. 50/- and / or will be asked to do the work for the college for an hour.
  • Rs. 500 will be charged for making duplicate i-card
  • Students should take good care of all college property and must keep the premises clean. Any littering or willful damage will be dealt with as a breach of discipline. Students will be fined and punished for the same.
  • No student should entertain any visitor in the college premises.
  • Use of cell phones in the campus is strictly prohibited, except in the canteen area. A fine of Rs. 500/- will be imposed.
  • Any personal mail at the college address is not permitted.
  • Students should make themselves familiar with the syllabi of their course.
  • Students should strictly follow the college rules and should cultivate a habit of reading the notice board.
  • For enquiry about the railway concessions and the like, College office has to be contacted only during the recess.
  • Ragging is strictly prohibited in the college campus. Students found guilty of ragging would be expelled.
  • No refund of fees which is collected on behalf of SNDT Women’s University


Rules regarding attendance

  • Students must be punctual and regular
  • Students are expected to have 75% attendance in each semester. Failing this, they will not be allowed to appear for the final examination. An Orange list, Red list and Black list will be put up. Cases of students who fail to make up their attendance deficit in spite of warnings will be sent to the University for further action.
  • The principal of the college has discretion to condone the attendance deficits in the theory and practical classes of one or many subjects, if she is fully convinced of the students’ absence on the ground of ill health or the reasons beyond the student’s control. An application explaining one’s absence should be submitted with the relevant supporting documents. In case the absence is due to illness, a medical certificate will have to be produced immediately and the case will be considered on merit. If there is delay in submitting the certificate, the case will not be considered.
