  • Every year we have sports and athletics meet where we award championship trophies to students who excel in sports.

  • Many of our students have been selected to represent the University team.

NSS Volunteer Harshada Bodare attended Leadership Sports Training Camp at Devlali, Nashik from August 2-4, 2016. She was awarded with the best Creative Leader Award during the camp.

Miss Kusum Prajapati, S. Y. B. Com student, represented our university at National level yoga competition at Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Haryana from March 16 to 19, 2017. There were more than 200 teams, our SNDT team came 19th.


Trekking at ‘Kalsubai’
On January 27-28, 2017 Trekking was organized for students at ‘Kalsubai’ near Igatpuri which is a highest peak of Maharashtra having height of about 5,600/- feet’s. 49 students took part in this event and all could climb up to the peak. This event was organized to select the students for ‘Darjeeling Special Adventure Course’.


Special Adventure Course at Darjeeling
The management sponsored and encouraged 27 students to take part in a ‘Special Adventure Course’ between April 14 and 23, 2017. It was conducted by Himalaya Mountaineering Institution (HMI), Darjeeling. The objective was to expose the students to adventure sports and real-life experiences. The students were acquainted to the basics of trekking and hiking, types of knots, information about equipment to be used during the trekking, etc. The students were also given practice sessions on rock climbing, rappelling, kayaking and zip line. After successful completion of the basic training, the students embarked on the five-day trek to Sandakphu, the highest peak in West Bengal, which is located at 3636 meters. All the students successfully completed the trek and returned to the institute by April 21, 2017. The participating students enjoyed the competitions like obstacles race, 4 km cross-country running race, wall climbing etc. organized by the Himalaya Mountaineering Institution. The winners were honored with medals. Capt. Goyal, Vice Principal of the Institution awarded all the participants with the Certificates and Badges for successful completion of the course at the Graduation Ceremony on April 23, 2017. Capt. Goyal applauded the college for conducting the event and thus encouraging the girl students to participate in the adventure activities. Faculty members Mr. Sanjay Patil, CA. Gunvant Rachchh and Ms. Amita Kendurkar accompanied the students during the course.

Ms. Rekha Nimangare (FYBA) and Ms. Kusum Prajapati (TYBCom) represented SNDT Women’s University at All India Inter University Yoga Competition held at Odisa. Ms. Priya Salve represented SNDT Women’s University at All India Inter University Kabaddi Competition.
