Student’s Association

At the end of each academic year, student representatives are democratically elected to represent the student body. Elections are held after vigorous campaigning for the posts of Class Representatives ( CR ) and General Secretaries ( GS ) of various faculties.

The student body coordinates with the President and Vice President, who are represented by the Teaching Faculty, in the smooth functioning of various activities organized by the college throughout the year and also of maintaining discipline and cleanliness in the campus.

Foundation Day

The 66thFoundation Day was celebrated on August 13, 2025. Retired Col. K. J. Singh of the Indian Army graced the Occasion as Chief Guest and Ms. Swati Tripathi, Global director, M. F. U. G., was present as Guest of Honour. During the Award Ceremony, students and staff members, including both teaching and non-teaching, were honored for their exceptional contributions and outstanding achievements in their respective academic and professional domains. The college magazine, ‘Aalekh’ was released at the hands of the dignitaries and the Magazine committee.

To celebrate Democracy Day, in collaboration with the Students’ Council, organized Mock General Secretary (GS) Elections across all undergraduate faculties. Held between September 26 and October 14, 2025, the activity aimed to promote the spirit of democracy and student leadership by giving students practical exposure to the electoral process. Overall 75.5% of students voted across all faculties.

On July 24, 2025, awareness session on ‘Child Sexual Abuse’ by Arpan Foundation was conducted for Teachers and students. Speakers were MS. Divya Kotian and MS. Priyanka Brahmane. The session highlighted on recognizing and responding to abuse by educating them about the science of abuse, its effects and the importance of reporting the incidence.

On June 24, 2025, a session on ‘Menstrual Hygiene’ was conducted by MS. Soni Gupta & MS. Aisha Mukadam from Myna Mahila Foundation. Topics like personal hygiene, hand washing, menstrual hygiene etc. were covered. The session included interactive discussions and aimed to promote awareness, confidence, and positive behavioral changes.

FYJC Orientation program was conducted on September 19, 2025,. Principal Dr. Asha Menon welcomed the students and Vice Principal Mrs. Seethalakshmi highlighted different rules regarding discipline, exam etc. Supervisor Ms. Harshwardhini pota explained about various committees and different government programmmes and schemes for them. Member of student council Mrs. Sujata Garud presented ppt regarding college infrastructure. Mrs. Namita Sawant from office informed students about office related matters while Ms. Disha Rathod briefed students about library facility. Ms. Kirti Singh, informed students about different activities of NSS while. Ms. Sheeta Lokhande spoke about P.E. exam and Sports.
