Our students participate at state and inter-college level competitions and brought home several trophies. The college provides special coaching for taekwondo, basketball and volleyball for our Junior and Senior College students. Many of our students have been selected to represent the University team.
Sports Events and Achievements:
National Sports Day
To celebrate National Sports Day, sports department hosted a 'Self-Defence' workshop for our athletes on September 13, 2025. The resource person was Mr. Sujit Sharma, a former Para Military trainer. A total of 90 athletes from both the Junior and Senior college sports departments participated in the event.
Yoga
The 10th International Yoga Day was celebrated on June 21, 2025, with the theme ``Yoga for One Earth, One Health`` on June 21, 2025. NCC Cadets, Sports students, NSS Volunteers, Teaching and non-teaching staff members joined in the Yoga Day celebration. Our College Yoga students Ms. Shruti Shirdhankar demonstrated yoga Asanas & Ms.Rupali Kokane gave instructions about Asanas. Staff members and girls from the sports department participated in the same.
Students participated in an International Yoga Day event at Marine Drive on June 22, 2025, organized by SNDT Women’s University and Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute.
Students attended a Yoga workshop conducted by the Department of Sports and Physical Education at Dr. BMN College of Home Science, Matunga, from July 22 to 23, 2025.
Highlight
The college Yoga team won the Team Championship (4th place) in the Sr. Inter Collegiate sports tournaments held between September 10 and 12, 2025 at SVT College, Juhu.
Chess
Ms. Shrushti Salian and Ms. Mittal Bhanushali participated in the TSCM Age Category Rapid Chess Competition, organized by the School of Chess Master, Sindhi Society, Chembur, on June 29, 2025.
Highlight
Ms. Mittal Bhanushali from SYBAF secured the 12th Rank (Bronze Medal) in the TSCM Age Category Rapid Chess Competition, organized by the School of Chess Master, on June 29, 2025.
Ms. Shraddha Sadkale (XII) won the D.S.O Taluka Chess Tournament held in PVG Vidya Bhavan High school Ghatkopar on October 17, 2025
Taekwondo
Junior college students participated in school District level Taekwondo Competition held in M.G Cross Road School, Kandivali on September 23, 2025.
Highlight
Ms. Tanvi Sawant from TYBA , won a gold medal at the Senior Intercollegiate Taekwondo Competition at Dr. Varsha Patil Women’s College, Jalgaon.
Ms. Divya Ambazhakan from SYBAF was awarded a Gold Medal at the Mumbai District Taekwondo Championship 2025 on July 13, 2025. She secured a Bronze Medal in the 37th Maharashtra State Senior Taekwondo Championship 2025–26, under the 73 kg category, held at Nashik, on July 19, 2025. She also won the Gold Medal in the Senior Intercollegiate Taekwondo Competition held at Dr. Varsha Patil Women’s College, Jalgaon, from October 8 to October 10, 2025.
Ms. Mayuri Pawar, a student of SYBAF, secured the Bronze Medal in Taekwondo Competition and Ms. Sejal Bane, a student of FYBAF, won the Bronze Medal in the Hurdle Race held at the Senior Intercollegiate Sports Competition held at Dr. Varsha Patil Women’s College, Jalgaon, from October 8 - 10, 2025.
Ms. Muskan Shaikh (XII), Ms. Akshra Shah (XI), Ms. Bhumi Jadhav (XII) and Ms. Shalini Jaiswal (XII) won Bronze (wt U19) at School District level Taekwondo Competition held in M.G Cross Road School, Kandivali on September 23, 2025.

Our team won the Taekwondo Team Championship Trophy (2nd place) at the Sr Inter Collegiate Sports Competitions in Jalgaon during October 8-10, 2025. In this competition Ms. Divya from SYBAF and Ms.Tanvi Sawant from TYBA (Psy.) earned 2 gold medals. Ms. Lavanya (fy B. Com), Ms. Mayuri Pawar (SYBAF) and Ms. Chinmayyi Kapse (FYBAMM) secured 3 bronze medals.

In the Athletics event at Sr Inter Collegiate Sports Competitions in Jalgaon during October 8-10, 2025 Ms. Shreya Ghardshi (SYBCOM) won Bronze medal by securing 3rd place in High Jump,
Ms. Akshara Shah (XI) Won 3rd place at District level Athletics Event (100mr Hurdles) at Sai Sports Kandivali on October 24, 2025.
Ms. Sejal Bane (FYBAF) won bronze medal securing the 3rd place in Hurdle Race in the same event.

Ms. Rakhi Bind from TYBA (Psy) is selected for the Kabaddi Training Camp.

Ms. Ritika Gond (SYBCOM) participated in a leadership camp organized by the SNDT University Physical Education Department at Krushtharog Vrudhashram, Panvel during August 4 to 6, 2025
27 sports students participated in the Sr Inter Collegiate sports tournaments (Kabaddi, Chess, Yoga, and Table Tennis) and 26 girls participated in Chess, Table Tennis, Kabaddi, and Yoga organized by SVT College, Juhu Campus during September 10–12, 2025.
15 students participated in the Sr Inter Collegiate Sports Competition organized by Dr. Varsha Patil Women’s College at Jalgaon during October 8–10, 2025.
27 sports students participated in the Khashaba Jadhav Paramparik Kirda Utsav (which included Kho Kho, Kabaddi, and Yoga) between August 18 & 22, 2025.
17 students participated in the Sr. Inter Collegiate Basketball, Kho-Kho, Road Race, Badminton, Tournament at SMRK College, during September 24 to 26, 2025 at Nashik.
Ms. Shreya Pawar, Ms. Chandanpreet Kaur, Ms. Dimple Patil, and Ms. Naziya Khan from SY BCA, along with Ms. Sharda Choudhary from TY BCA, participated in the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2026 Online Quiz Competition organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, under the Viksit Bharat program on October 28, 2025.
