IQAC is a part of an institution’s system which channelizes the efforts and measures of an institution towards academic excellence. It is post- accreditation quality sustenance measure proposed by NAAC. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the performance of institutions.

Composition :

IQAC may be constituted in every institution under the Chairmanship of the Head of the institution with heads of important academic and administrative units and a few teachers and a few distinguished educationists and representatives of local management and stakeholders

The composition of the IQAC may be as follows :

Chairperson: Head of the Institution

A few senior administrative officers

Three to eight teachers

One member from the Management

One/two nominees from local society, Students and Alumni

One/two nominees from Employers /Industrialists/stakeholders

One of the senior teachers as the coordinator/Director of the IQAC

Functions:

Some of the functions expected of the IQAC are:

Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution

Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process

Arrangement for feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes

Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education

Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles

Documentation of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement

Acting as a nodal agency of the Institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices

Development and maintenance of institutional database through MIS for the purpose of maintaining/enhancing the institutional quality

Development of Quality Culture in the institution

Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC, to be submitted to NAAC

Activities :

A Meditation Workshop was conducted for the staff by Dr. Purvi Ketan Shah on June 14, 2025.

The API (Academic Performance Indicator) verification was completed for five applicants on June 28, 2025.

In collaboration with the Department of Accountancy, organized a session titled ‘Know Your Salary’ for staff members, conducted by Mr. Priyesh Barfiwala on July 12, 2025 and a session on ‘Empower Your Financial Future’ by CA Mitul Raval on July 19, 2025.

A campus visit for the Green Audit was conducted on August 5, 2025.

Our college was selected as a Mentor Institution by the Government of Gujarat under the Two-Day Learning and Exposure cum Study Tour Programme. As part of this initiative, our college acted as a mentor institution to the Gujarat Government Commerce and Science College, Dahej, on August 21-22, 2025. One day visit was conducted for Government Science College, Varachha on October 3, 2025 for the study and understanding of NAAC processes and related quality assurance mechanisms.

A Session on Examination and Evaluation Reforms under Autonomy was conducted by Maj. Pravin Nayak on October 7, 2025.

A Gender Audit was conducted in the month of October 8, 2025 to assess the institution’s commitment to gender equality, inclusivity, and providing a safe working and learning environment for all.
