Cultural

Our students participate in number of Inter collegiate competitions organized by various colleges/ institutions and won prizes in various events. College organizes “Talent Show” for students through which students are selected for intercollegiate and interuniversity competitions. Directors / choreographer are appointed to train students in performing arts and theatre events. Our teachers also train the students for literary events.

Activities Conducted:

A Talent Show was organized on August 8, 2025, where students from all faculties showcased their talents. Outstanding performers from the Talent Show were shortlisted to represent the college at the SNDTWU Regional Yuva Mahotsav.

The Degree and Junior College Cultural Committees jointly organized a vibrant ‘Ras Garba Competition’ on the occasion of Navratri 2025, held on September 27, 2025. Mrs. Sejalben Kothari was invited as the esteemed judge to select the winners for the Best Costume and Best Dance categories among the participants.

Talent Show was conducted for the junior college students (XII) was organised on July 31, 2025. 90 students participated, presenting a wide range of performances.

Friendship Day was celebrated when students tied friendship bands to their friends and expressed their love and care for each other on August 22, 2025.

An Eco-Friendly Ganpati Idol Making Competition was held on August 25, 2025. A total of 40 students participated and three students secured prizes for their creative and eco-friendly idols. The competition was judged by Ms. Rita Betkar.

Yuva Mahotsav

35 students represented the college in the Regional Round of the SNDTWU Yuva Mahotsav, held on September 18 and 19, 2025. Students participated in Theatre, Dance, Music, Literary and Fine Arts events. Prizes Won:

‘Dandiya Competition’ was organized on October 21, 2023 as a part of the Navratri celebrations in college. The event was judged by Ms. Rekha Thakkar for Best Dance and Best Costume

‘Bookmark making competition’ was organized by the Junior college cultural committee on August 3, 2023. Mrs. Kinnari Thakkar was invited as a judge. 45 students participated in the event. 4 bookmarks were selected for prize. All the participants were felicitated with a ball pen.

An ‘Intercollegiate Competition- JIGISHA’ was organized by Ramji Asar Vidyalaya, Ghatkopar on September 13, 2023, Ms. Mamta Lodha from XI E bagged the first prize in Face Painting competition.

Organized ‘Mehendi competition’ on September 27, 2023 for Junior college students wherein 122 students participated. The theme for this competition was Contemporary ( modern )- flowers and elephant preferably. Mrs Liena Mota was invited as judge. 9 mehendi designs were selected for prize.

Organized ‘Best out of waste’ competition on September 27, 2023 for junior college students. The theme for this competition was ‘used plastic’. Mrs Vidya Karande adjudged the event. Out of 36 entries, 8 articles were selected for prize.

Cultural committee of Junior College organized ‘Thanks giving program’ for teaching and non-teaching staff of the college on December 18, 2023. The main motto for this activity was to thank each and every one who works so dedicatedly for the institute.

A Flash mob was performed on February 15, 2024 at ground floor by CRs and GSs of FYJC students for Welcoming the Cyclothon team and celebrating their success of accomplishment of the target. The activity was arranged under the guidance of Vice principal Ma’am and Cultural committee.
