“I am Kavita Arun Pal. We are four family members living in a single rented room in a slum. I am eldest among three siblings. My father is a mason. He is the sole earning member in the family; my father cannot sustain the education of three children.
He has Fistula disease and was operated three times. My mother is a housewife. Currently I am studying in M.Com II. At the time of M.Com first year I took loan of Rs.4000 from Shama Well and also taken Shama loan in T.Y.B.Com which I have repaid. To supplement the family income, my siblings took up jobs. I am also working in a parlour. I am very confident and have set my goals very early in life. After completing M.Com I want to work in a bank.

“I am Siddhi Wadekar. I had applied for Shama Smart Well Scholarship for 2016-17 for S.Y.B.HSc as I was not able to pay my admission fees. My father was operated for kidney problem and he had to undergo dialysis twice a week and was not able to work for six months. My mother is a housewife.
My younger brother is studying in 9th Std. My father’s medical expense was big drain on family income. At that time I had two options left – either to give up education or to take a job. I am very thankful to Shama Inc. and SPRJK Trust for helping me in my crucial condition. It is just because of your support that I stood first in class with 75% which has helped me to build self-esteem.
Currently I am pursuing T.Y.B.HSc and have paid my admission fees by taking tuition classes in vacations. My father has also started working as a ward boy in hospital.”
“I am Shabeena Shaikh. There are six members in my family. We are four siblings and all are studying. My father is an electrician and earns meager income. My mother is working in garment company. My younger sister is suffering from Thyroid problem.I have completed my S.Y.BMS. I was not able to pay my examination fees. It is just because of Shama Koticha Assistance Fund that I could pay the SY BMS exam fees. I scored good marks i.e. 68%.
Now, I have taken admission in T.Y.BMS and I am very thankful to SKAF for helping me by paying my partial admission fees. I promise to score good marks in my final year.”

My mother helps my father to make flower garlands and she is diabetic patient, currently she got operated. Her medical expense is big drain on my family income. I have two elder brothers who abandoned the family after marriage.
Now my parent’s responsibility is solely on me. I received Shama Well Loan for my higher education. I completed BMM (Bachelor of Mass Media) with 64% and I am working in SPRJK Trust’s Student Welfare Centre since two years. I have repaid the loan.

I took Shama well loan in S.Y.BMS and repaid full amount by doing part time job.
I also got help from Shama Hexagon scholarship. I stood first in class with 75%. To supplement household expenses I am working in SPRJK Trust’s Student Welfare Centre as full time junior office assistant. Currently I am pursuing T.Y.BMS.

In 2015-16 when I was in T.Y.BMS my elder sister got married and my father could not pay my fees because of the wedding expenses. “I “Mrs. Khushbu Jain” I have completed my TYBAF in this year. I would like to share something about my life. When I was in 10th std I got married because of some personal reason & then I appeared for my SSC and luckily I cleared my SSC with 66% & then I took ad- mission in commerce stream & in HSC I cleared with 70% because I had interest in studies & my in-laws allowed me to study further & I took admission in Smt. P.N. Doshi College in BAF stream but when I dream to complete my studies during that I was staying with my in-laws. In starting I was worried that how will I do all the things but my hard work and dedication towards my career made me clear my FY with 69.70% in SY there was a challenging part of my life i.e studies & household work. I also completed my internship in SY…. scored 62%. Third year was my life changing part, because that time I was pregnant when the 3rd month was going on I gave my 5th semester. My health was not at all good those days but my teachers…. Madhuri ma’am, Vijaya ma’am, Suchita ma’am all helped me. 3rd year was more important for me, my husband & in-laws helped me a lot & supported me.
I was worried because my delivery date & exam dates were clashing at the same time. But god also wanted to help me at that time, I appeared my exams successfully. On 5th May was blessed with a baby girl & on the same day I got my result, I had secured 71% & I rejoiced by knowing his.

I have a long connection with this college since I have done my HSC (Commerce) from this college too, so have been here for long 5 years. From day one the college has been very supportive to me. Then be it the teachers there or their opportunities they give students to become more confident.
I have been the General Secretary for my 2 years of junior college & class representative for my all three years of graduation. It has sha- rpened my leadership skills to new levels. In my degree college I had the privilege to be with the 2 most amazing teachers ie. Madhu- ri Zamvar & Anuburani Anthony ma’am. They have been extremely supportive & really hardworking towards our department. They always gave us life lessons.
Since I come from a middleclass family and having only my mom as my single parent, it was never that easy to maintain things, especia- lly financially. The college provided the scholarship which would exempt examination fees for few students & I was one of them which availed this scholarship. “Ms. Mitali Keny has completed B. A. (Mass Media) with Animation specialization. As an animation student she has shown as an extraordinary potential.
